Liam Neeson will play a London artist, who returns to Italy with his son played by Michael Richardson, from whom he was long estranged. The reason for the trip is to sell the house they inherited from their late wife / mother. The film, also written by D’Arcy, will begin production in April and will feature beautiful Italian landscapes.
HanWay Films handles worldwide sales and distribution, bringing the film to the upcoming American Film Market, opening Wednesday in Santa Monica, California.
HanWay Films Managing Director Gabrielle Stewart said: “It has been exciting to read the script and feel the project take shape this year;” With Liam and Micheal playing a father and son facing emotional challenges in Tuscany, we look forward to a film special”.
The film was developed by London-based CrossDay Productions and is produced by film and television veterans Pippa Cross and Sam Tipper-Hale, while Nicola Serra is a co-producer for Italian production company Palomar.
D’Arcy, star of “Dunkirk” and “Cloud Atlas,” previously wrote and directed the short film “Chicken / Egg,” starring Hayley Atwell and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau.
